I think most people feel it’s ridiculous that someone can get on a flight with a tourist visa, lie to the immmigration officer, go to an unlicensed “hospital” to have a baby that will become a US citizen.
On the other hand, if you were born here and went to school here without leaving until you’re like 9 or 10 or some agreed upon logical age, it doesn’t make sense to deport you back to some country where you don’t understand the language or culture.
There’s gotta be a middle ground here. I think most people can accept the ridiculousness of either extreme.
