That's a positive sign Starmer is definitely on the right track.
I don't think it sends the message Stephen thinks it does.
He's basically admitting that the EU's growing worldwide influence scares the Americans.
The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must. By admitting that causes problems, he's inadvertently positioning the US as the weak.
Anyone competent knows that the US is weak and these efforts are bluster and posturing.
