Where I live, utility LC&I (large commercial and industrial) contracts are unregulated. Today it is data centers but thirty years ago and longer, it was aluminum smelting that dominated electric utility revenue. The same issues arose.
It would seem to me, in the current environment, that they can be forced to pay an "unfair" share to make it fair to the people. Corporations spending $100Bs in a year can budget and charge for elevated electricity rates. Labor cannot.

Because I don’t see power generation facilities popping up at the same rate data centers are, I expect prices to go up. Supply and demand.
The data centers are starting to put dedicated gas-turbine generation right next to them.
