Fantastic functionality and design. Have you thought about pitching this to thrift operators? It's common practice in the thrift industry to hold out name-brand high-ticket items and send them through to a separate online channel where they can price the item appropriately. Savers Thrift implemented a (what we assume to be) camera-mediated by-item pricing software that likely uses a combination of their internal sales data and live feeds of online item prices to set item prices in real time. That system cost them millions in consulting fees and setup costs to implement. This could serve an attractive middle-ground option for smaller companies with less ambitious goals.
The additional pricing research step in the online route requires serious labor-hours when compounded hundreds of times. Additionally, the sheer volume of items needing priced introduces inevitable pricing errors that cost these companies real money.
Happy to answer any questions in this area if it is of interest to you.
Anyone in C suite would be most reliable to talk to about this- simply because the online department is federated differently everywhere and I can't be sure what the actual job titles the people in charge of listing items would have. Every medium to large thrift operation is undergoing data and process modernization or 'AI integration' right now, mostly driven top down from board or PE initiatives, so C suite is under pressure and looking to integrate any tech that could cut costs or save labor hours.
Including some signifier of price distribution by item condition in the returned results is extremely important and would be something people using this in thrift would want to see.
You're right that resale tools helps the buyer more than the seller. These sold prices are already public on Poshmark. The people who benefit from hiding them are the ones lowballing. Also, the free price guide helps sellers see what their stuff is really worth.

Thanks for explaining this! Who at a thrift store would decide to use a tool like this, and do know anyone who'd want to try it for free?

I'll be on the lookout.
AKA how to further minimize the value of what poor people own, at scale. Great.
