We've been hacking on a side product and needed a launch video for it, but didn't want to pay an agency to make it. When Opus 5.5 came out and we saw some video examples, we tried to have it make us a video just from our codebase and some iterative feedback via Claude Code, and... it worked!!
It took a lot of iteration cycles over 2-3 days, and I found it helpful to spawn subagent review panels of various intelligence levels to provide feedback to another subagent pool of designer agents (kinda like a meta version of actor critic in RL). But overall massively cheaper (all on subscription plan token usage), and I didn't have to do any live product recording since it had the source code behind the site (RIP Screen Studio?)
Anyways, just wanted to share as more of us are making side projects, there's now a much easier to way to launch them to show them what they do.
If you made it this far and have any feedback on the video and site, drop it in the comments!
I've been using Lectogram for a bit and it's such a great example of AI at it's best. I've been using it to get up to speed on all sorts of things in the most human-reading efficient way possible. Basically a personal tutor for anything!
I've already started seeing AI generated ads on Twitter and it fills me with utter disgust. Ads were already misleading and full of lies, AI just compounds the issue.
Totally agree on the ads. I feel like in the launch video case it's different though? It's just showing the actual product without someone having to read about it, feel like it levels the playing field slightly on new product distribution since high quality, succinct demos are easier to make now
